What a great National day spent with my love ones. The 6 of us planned to bring ah ma down to Pulau Ubin for a frill cycling. What a good and hot day for a sun bath! Everyone was complaining about the scorching weather but still we just had a bloody fun cycling, seeing and waiting around!! HAH.

One of our relatives, kim-po used to stay in ubin before the ‘clearance’ period of the villagers, and still we could recall back those days the whole family of us stayed up for a night or two with only oil lamp at night. Pure village life can be just innocently fun, not counting the numbers of mosquitos’ bites we had. We can shakehead.

We saw kim-po at her drink stall, and as usual she started offering and pushing coconuts and drink to us. In the end we realized something, Vin was helping out at her drink stall. He started collecting money from the customers and putting it in kim-po’s cash box. Then he was so pissed saying so many customers just cant u guys come and help out instead of snapping pics around. LOLS. We were so excited in selling drinks over at her stall seriously. Instead of $1.20 can drink, we became smart-alec and sell at $1.50. We kept giggling non-stop after knowing kim-po sold at $1.20. Then came a class of kiddos and their teachers, they were calling vin and jl as uncle and aunt till both burst out and shouted we are not aunt and uncle ok. And they exclaimed, called us aunt and uncle we are not going sell any coconuts to you. The laughters went on and on. It was crazily hilarious from the ways both sides reacted.

Next we headed down to kim-po’s unit and we started plucking and shooting rambutans down. Grandma and vin were so over-enthu in getting a big bag of rambutans. I was munching the rambutans away indeed, the rests were whacking and dancing away to shew off the mosquitos. LOLS.

Late lunch treat by yin over at the island and just in time the downpour ends our cycling. Next we set off to Tampines ikea, court mega stores and giant supermarket. Dinner over at ikea and we had a splendid fulfilling meal sharing around. By the time we can end our day, it’s already midnight and bags of loads are bought from ikea and giant stores. Decided to call for 8 seaters cab but umpteen of bookings there is none available around the area.

Cabbed back to grandma’s house and we had a great supper treat from vin’s dad. A tub of gong-gongs! Drooling mad on our way back indeed. HAH. Baby joined us after his ops, sad enough he cant join us for the day.

Knocked out at only near to 3.

I love it!
